John Murphy is the Senior Marketing Director of Supply Chain Cloud Applications at Oracle. A graduate of the supply chain program at Penn State University, John began his career as a logistics analyst with Kraft Foods and subsequently as a transportation manager at DelMonte Foods. John then joined Manugistics (now JDA) as a principle consultant managing the implementation of supply chain software to companies like Anheuser Busch, Avon, Perrier, IBM, The Gap and many others. John assumed roles in product management, marketing, pre-sales, and strategy during his time at Manugistics before joining G-Log as Director of Product Marketing in 2003. He helped lead the company to profitability and through a successful acquisition by Oracle in 2005. Now the leader of the Oracle applications marketing team, John’s organization develops content and strategies that highlight Oracle’s unique set of supply chain cloud offerings. With over 25 years of experience, John is an expert in the area of technology and supply chain, with a deep understanding of transportation and logistics operations and applications.
