The APICS E&R Foundation provides the nation's premier forum for operations management research, educational programs, and curriculum development. The foundation publishes results from practitioner-friendly applied research in subject areas including

- performance measures
- curriculum development
- integrating manufacturing and marketing functions
- supervising information throughout an organization
The E&R Foundation is governed by its Board of Directors.
Scholars Education Program
The APICS E&R Foundation offers graduate and undergraduate members of APICS student chapters the opportunity to attend the APICS International Conference & Expo. Learn more, become a mentor, donate to the Scholar's program.
Student Competitions
The E&R Foundation supports two student competitions to promote education and encourage interest in the profession of operations management. Students earn cash awards and recognition for winning entries.

In considering the importance of research and advancement in the operations management industry, it is essential to remember that many of today's most widely used ideas were first explored by the E&R Foundation, including

- Spanish translations of APICS materials.
There are many ways to support the foundation; personal and organizational contributions can be directed to a specific area of study or to the general fund. Organizations including Kraft Foods, Wagstaff, North Highland Company, Supply Chain Council, St. Louis University, The Boeing Company, EDS, Rockwell, Raytheon, IBM, and the Quinn & Symanovich Corporation have all partnered with the E&R Foundation to sponsor cross-functional applied research.
