Aside from the opportunity to experience the conference and network with active, operations management professionals, scholars receive complimentary conference registration, stipend, and hotel accommodations either fully or partially paid. The scholars for 2010 have already been selected; however if interested in becoming a scholar in 2011, details will be provided post-APICS 2010 on the APICS web site at apics.org/education/erfoundation.
Participate in the APICS Head of the Class Competition Monday, October 18 at 2:30 p.m. Click to RSVP.
Being an APICS Scholar or student attendee is about finding the right career path. The scavenger hunt is an interactive way to meet fellow scholars and students attending the conference as you explore the surrounding areas and learn interesting facts about Las Vegas and APICS history.
APICS will hold its second annual APICS Head of the Class Competition for APICS scholars and student attendees. The competition will help showcase the students and test them on industry knowledge in a fun and engaging way. Student participants begin the competition standing. Students sit down after answering a question incorrectly, and the last student standing is the winner and “head of the class.”
As an APICS Scholar or student attendee, you’ve already shown tremendous initiative in your career. Now is the time to meet the operations management professionals who can open doors for you. Whether you’re having lunch with your mentor and other APICS Scholars Education Program participants or student attendees, or attending a panel discussion featuring APICS community leaders, you will have the opportunity to network with industry decision makers who can help you find the path to career success.
