Alliances to Provide Benefits to the APICS Community

Exclusive benefits for APICS student members

APICS student members receive member benefits through AST&L.

Take advantage of these benefits:

APICS members-only access to Supply Chain Council benefits

APICS members receive members-only savings and special access to Supply Chain Council’s SCORMark benchmarking.

Through this alliance, you can take advantage of the Supply Chain Council’s supply chain methodology, diagnostics, and benchmarking based on the SCOR® standard. Its product offerings are a complement to APICS education and certification programs, which provide a foundation for the supply chain improvement activities that SCC promotes.

This collaboration between SCC and APICS brings together the two leading supply chain organizations to develop the knowledge of their members and deepen the skills sets of supply chain and operations management professionals across the globe.

APICS members receive discounts on
  • SCC training classes
  • SCOR Professional Certification
  • SCORMark benchmarking

Benefits for APICS certification designees

APICS also has aligned with AST&L to make earning the Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) easier for APICS certification designees.
CTL program benefits include
  • understanding key strategies for improving customer relationships.
  • knowledge of how to increase the efficiency of supply chain operations.
  • development of analytical skills necessary to identify ways to improve transportation, supply chain, and logistical processes.
APICS CSCP designees can waive the elective Supply Chain Management module and APICS CPIM or CFPIM designees can waive the required Logistics Management module. Designees with both certifications can waive both modules.

To qualify for the AST&L CTL program, you must be an active member of AST&L and have a four-year undergraduate degree, or three years of professional experience. The AST&L membership fee is waived for the first year when the AST&L CTL exam modules are purchased using the prepay option.

To participate in the AST&L CTL program and obtain credit for your APICS certifications, complete an enrollment form, visit the AST&L website, or call AST&L Customer Support at +1-202-580-7270.
