Description:

The forecast is very foggy for most as COVID-19 affects businesses and their supply chains around the planet.  Planning to avoid the landmines of changing demand and customer behaviors, top management needs to be rethinking their JIT strategies and considering flexibility, specifically scalability.  Sometimes your company just needs to be first to market need which can require planning for the unknown.  These decisions and the planning that precedes it, cannot be left to the materials department or the master scheduler.  Top management needs to be strategic about priorities, flexibility and scalability.

Donald Sheldon, author of six books including World Class Sales and Operations Planning (J Ross Publishing) and frequent speaker at ASCM conferences will discuss robust S&OP and how it can help during these crazy times.
