The call for presentations for APICS 2018, September 30–October 2, 2018, Chicago, Illinois, is now open until Friday, December 8, 2017.

We invite you to share your best practices, project solutions, implementations, and case studies by presenting at this year’s APICS annual conference. Your expertise and contributions make APICS events a valuable source of education for supply chain management professionals worldwide.

Please read below for submission instructions, requirements, the abstract evaluation process, session categories, and timeline.

Abstract Submission Steps

Step 1:    Enter abstract information into the form, including session name, audience level, learning objectives, primary keywords, and abstract text (fewer than 300 words).

Step 2:    Enter presenter(s) details, including contact information, a brief biography, prior speaking experience, company logo (optional) and social media links (optional).

Step 3:    Review and approve the previous steps, read and sign the presenter terms and conditions, and submit your abstract.

Abstract Submission Limit

  • Maximum of 2 abstracts per presenter.
  • Each submission can have a maximum of 2 presenters.

Presentation Selection Criteria

Each submission is reviewed and evaluated by the APICS Conference Content Taskforce. Taskforce members seek presentations that address critical issues, innovative methods, emerging industry trends, and practical solutions.

APICS 2018 Learning Paths

Please familiarize yourself with the APICS 2018 learning paths and potential topics of interest. All abstracts must align with one of the following six learning paths.


Supply and demand planning is a fundamental process that spans the entire value chain. Keys to success including balancing resources and requirements, effective project management, and business rules that measure and improve productivity. Educational sessions will reveal valuable lessons in warehousing and finished inventories; insights into scheduling, pick, pack, shipment, and invoicing; and proven import and export tactics.
