There are persistent gaps between senior management and practitioner management surrounding sustainability initiatives. These gaps cause a lack of practical solutions related to sustainability measurement and prioritization. As a result, the benefits of sustainable investments go unrealized.
APICS and PwC joined together to study how current management thinking leads to different priorities for advancing supply chain sustainability. Together, we’re focusing on how different people in the organization—supply chain management, operations management, and senior management—are developing the capabilities they will need to run their companies more sustainably. By comparing and analyzing their perspectives, we seek to identify the levers successful companies can use to help create tangible value from their supply chain sustainability programs.
As a result of this research, APICS and PwC produced a paper and a webinar on the topic. Access the PwC and APICS "Sustainable Supply Chains: Making Value the Priority" report
