New apics.org features enable better access to education, publications and research, and networking for the supply chain and operations management professions

Chicago, Ill. (March 1, 2012) – APICS The Association for Operations Management today announced the launch of its newly redesigned website. The new apics.org aims to provide APICS members, certification designees, and members of the public a one-stop place for research and industry content, career resources, networking, and education related to the supply chain and operations management profession.

The  website is organized to provide quick and direct access to education, content, and networking resources for supply chain and operations management professionals, including new and more content and easier ways to access industry content and education, a new social networking community, easier access to local education and networking, and more.

The new APICS website provides resources, education, and opportunities for networking to help the global supply chain and operations management improve performance.

Additionally, APICS publications, including APICS magazine, the APICS Dictionary, APICS Operations Management Now, and more are available in new ways. The new APICS Partner and Event Finder features listings of events, courses, certification exams, and networking opportunities based on geographic location. apics.org offers a wealth of research resources, including free executive summaries, members-only research reports, research folios, and online events.

Among the new features on apics.org is the APICS Supply Chain Channel – an interactive online community built for supply chain and operations management professionals to network and connect with colleagues, engage in conversation and idea-sharing, and find answers to pressing questions.

In addition to industry professionals, the new website will also appeal to members of the general public who are interested in the fields of supply chain and operations management, or who are thinking of pursuing more in-depth coursework or careers in the field.
