Rajiv “Raj” Tiwari loves meeting new people, so this is one of the elements of APICS affiliation that he appreciates most. “APICS is the only association that has members from such a diversified background,” he says. “For example, [I have encountered] professionals in supply chain, operations management, project management, and much more … APICS is a great platform for education and networking with professionals not only in the United States, but also internationally.”
Tiwari, an SAP America solution subject matter expert in the field of supply chain and operations management, brings more than 18 years of international experience to the table. His career has spanned 13 years of diverse functions. He has held the title of team leader, solution architect, manager, and consultant with myriad global companies. He is an expert in order-to-cash, master data, transportation and logistics, third-party interfaces, and more. Additionally, he brings considerable business process modeling knowledge to his clients.
“As a solution architect, I serve numerous Fortune 500 clients internationally to help them optimize and modernize their supply chains, business processes, technology advancement, and interfacing and consolidation of multiple information technology systems,” he explains.
Tiwari has worked with many leading businesses such as Johnson & Johnson, General Electric, Pfizer and Merck, to name a few. He utilizes his knowledge of serialization to achieve results for his clients by helping them better understand, design, select, and configure the right enterprise solutions for their particular businesses.
Tiwari says the APICS body of knowledge helps him stay competitive and serve his customers more efficiently. He believes APICS plays a significant role as he works to optimize his clients’ supply chains, reduce operational costs, and gain competitive advantage. “APICS played a major role in helping me develop these rare skills and advancing my career,” Tiwari says.
A member of the APICS South Jersey chapter board of directors, Tiwari volunteers as a director and speaker for professional development meetings. “Volunteering and active involvement with APICS make a huge difference in my career, not only with networking, but also because of the close interaction I have with industry experts,” he says. “I highly recommend others to volunteer.”
