Transform Your Supply Chain
The APICS value chain frameworks provide your organization with a standard for defining process and measuring performance. The Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, the first process framework, was introduced in 1996. The process reference model approach is unique in that it links business processes, performance metrics, practices, and people skills into a unified structure. It is hierarchical in nature, interactive and interlinked. Process reference models integrate the well-known concepts of business process reengineering, benchmarking, process measurement, and organizational design into a cross-functional framework.
SCOR was followed by the Design Chain Operations Reference model (DCOR) in 2002 and the Customer Chain Operations Reference model (CCOR) in 2006. In 2012, the Product Lifecycle Operations Reference (PLCOR™) model was introduced. The newest edition, Managing for Supply Chain Performance (M4SC™), is under development and focuses on skills for developing effective supply chain leaders.
