Lisa Sallstrom, CAE, PMP, exemplifies excellence through her commitment to certification standards and program effectiveness
CHICAGO – Nov. 2, 2015 – Lisa Sallstrom, CAE, PMP, Senior Director of Certification for APICS, became a member of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) Board of Directors during last week’s 2015 ICE Exchange conference in Portland, Oregon. The ICE is focused on establishing and maintaining credentialing standards through education, research and advocacy. Sallstrom’s election to the ICE Board of Directors demonstrates the credentialing community’s high regard for the rigor with which APICS credentials are developed and maintained.
“ICE and its accrediting body, the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), are both driving forces in evaluating certification programs and providing resources for organizations and individuals who work in the credentialing industry,” said Sallstrom. “I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded professionals who understand the value professional competency brings to the workforce.”
Sallstrom’s role on the board will provide her further opportunity to expand her role in refining industry standards around certifications and effective programming. Sallstrom has been leading certification programs at APICS since 2008.
“I have relied on the certification standards, practices and research created by ICE as guiding principles throughout my career,” said Sallstrom. “I hope to assist ICE in capitalizing on their success and look forward to helping the organization expand their reach and influence a wider community.”
