Q: What are the APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence?
A: The 2011 APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence recognize organizations for significant contributions and performance excellence in operations management. There are two categories, including education and innovation in sustainable productivity.

APICS Education Award of Excellence
The apics Education Award of Excellence focuses on an organization's commitment to education investment and productivity based on the application of educational concepts.
Innovation in Sustainable Productivity Award of Excellence
The recent recession forced companies across the globe to increase productivity. Organizations now face the challenge of sustaining that productivity while laying the foundation for long-term success. The Innovation in Sustainable Productivity Award of Excellence recognizes an organization’s achievement in meeting complex and volatile customer demand patterns while simultaneously planning for long-term success.
Q: Does a company have to be a member of APICS or employ a member to apply?
A: No.
Q: What is the entry deadline date?
A: Submissions are accepted beginning June 15–August 19.
Q: How do I apply for the APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence program?
A: Fill out the APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence web form and complete your payment after submitting.
Q: Who selects the recipients?
A: A panel composed of industry experts, industry analysts, media representatives, and academicians.
Q: What recognition will a company receive if selected as a recipient?
A: A commemorative award, recognition in APICS publications, acknowledgment in industry and business publications, use of the APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence logo, and recognition at the APICS International Conference & Expo.
APICS Voluntary Service, International Voluntary Service, Student Voluntary Service, and Student Chapter Mentor
Q: What is the purpose of these awards?
A: To honor APICS volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to the association, chapters, student chapters, international partner organizations, other professional organizations, the operations and supply chain management profession,, and the community.
Q: How do I qualify for these awards?
A: Your chapter, APICS committee, or international partner is the nominator. The nominee must meet or exceed the requirements indicated on the application.
Q: What are the entry deadlines?
A: Completed entries must be postmarked by June 30for the Voluntary, International Voluntary, Student Voluntary, and Student Chapter Mentor awards.
