About the Editor-in-Chief
Vincent A. Mabert, Ph.D., is Editor-in-Chief of the P&IM Journal. Mabert is a professor of operations management in the Operations and Decision Technologies Department at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University in Bloomington. He earned his Ph.D. in production and operations management from the Ohio State University.
Mabert's research and teaching have focused on operations and supply chain management. He is widely recognized as a leading contributor to the field and has published more than 85 articles in the areas of workforce planning, order scheduling, enterprise resource planning systems, new product development, and manufacturing system design.
While at Indiana University, Mabert has been department chairperson, associate dean, and leader of the Indiana Manufacturing Excellence Roundtable. He has been active and held officer positions in a number of professional societies including Industrial Engineering, INFORMS, APICS, and Decision Sciences. He is a Fellow of the Decision Sciences Institute.
