The goal of the course is to provide an introduction to the manufacturing environment.  The course explores the execution of the production plan and mater production schedule, reactions to capacity constraints, and shop floor order maintenance. Among the topics discussed are managing the manufacturing environment, executing manufacturing planning and control activities, working with material requirements planning (MRP), capacity management, capacity requirements planning (CRP), production activity control (PAC), and Just-in-Time (JIT).   Through discussion and interactive problem solving participants will gain a functional competency of production activity control management.
