Scholars Education Program - Case Competition
During the spring, student members from around the U.S. participate in case competitions on the East and West Coasts and in the Midwest. The winning teams from each competition attend the APICS International Conference & Expo to compete in a conference case competition to earn cash awards and recognition.
In the case competition, teams of students are given the same case to solve that involves an operations management challenge. The students demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of APICS tools and methodologies by presenting a proposal for resolving the problem. The proposals are judged by a panel to determine the winners.
Case competition attendees are included in the APICS Scholars Education Program. Benefits for case scholars include
- Complimentary Conference Registration (Valued at $99 Regular Student Rate)
- Hotel Room for 5 Nights, Double Occupancy with Another Scholar
- $200 Stipend, Provided on the Last Day of the Conference
