APICS Scholars Education Program
Coordinator Responsibilities and Duties
Apply to be a coordinator for the Scholars Education Program.
Benefits include:

Pre-Conference Duties
Assist with planning one or more of the following aspects of the scholar’s program as a member of the Scholar Advisory Workgroup
- Assist with Head of the Class Competition
- Creating team building scavenger hunt or other activities
- Actively participate on Scholar Advisory Workgroup conference calls. The first call is in March with more detailed planning calls beginning in April leading up until conference
- Assist with fundraising (goal = $100K) by “'selling" the benefits of the program to potential donors
- Encourage students and mentors to apply through the use of e-mail; by giving presentations at local APlCS Professional Development Meetings, district meetings, in university and college classrooms, at supporting companies, etc. (A professional PowerPoint presentation is provided for your use.)
- Creating welcome packets
On-Site Duties
- Plan travel in order to arrive before 4 p.m. Saturday, October 16, and assist through conference close, Wednesday, October 20
- Assist with check in and the welcoming of scholars on Saturday, October 16
- Assist with scholar, student, and mentor matching on Sunday, October 17
- Ensure that student scholars are present where and when they are scheduled, including attending all events mandatory for scholars to ensure that student scholar team is present
- Monitor mentor contact with scholars to help ensure a meaningful experience
- Oversee on-site operations of the overall program
Post-Conference Duties
- Participate in one follow-up conference call to review survey results from scholars, mentors, and fellow coordinators
