The APICS Certification Maintenance Program is available to keep APICS CPIM, APICS CFPIM, and APICS CSCP designees at the top of their game. The program incorporates a variety of professional development opportunities for APICS certification designees to stay current and continue reaping the benefits of the APICS community.

Maintaining your APICS certification through professional development points

The APICS Certification Maintenance Program uses professional development points as a simple way for you to keep track of your APICS certification maintenance activities. Once you earn your APICS certification, most operations management-related activities will help you earn points toward maintaining that certification.

APICS CPIM and APICS CSCP designees must earn a total of 75 professional development points within five years of receiving their designation. APICS CFPIM designees must earn a total of 100 professional development points in the same span of time.

NEW! Online APICS Certification Maintenance Application
APICS has introduced a new online certification maintenance application for APICS CPIM, CFPIM, and CSCP programs. Once you submit the application, you will not be required to print and mail the paper application form.

Click here to access the certification maintenance application form. Please submit a credit card payment along with your application.

Please note that the online maintenance application combines the professional development journal and the points sheet into one electronic form. Individuals submitting online will receive an automated notification that their application has been received. Please allow up to two weeks for processing the application.

  • You must be logged into the APICS web site to be able to use the online form
  • If you do not have an APICS user ID and password, click on “Register” to create one.
  • Choose which certification you need to maintain—CPIM, CFPIM, or CSCP—and fill out activities and corresponding point values. Candidates only can submit one online maintenance application in a 24 hour period. If you are submitting maintenance applications for more than one certification, please wait for at least 24 hours before completing and submitting your second application.
