San Diego-Area Facilities Provide Tours
During 2004 APICS International Conference and Exposition

Alexandria, VA (May 12, 2004) Eight San Diego, California-area facilities are providing tours during the 2004 APICS International Conference and Exposition, Wednesday, October 13.

"The manufacturing plant tours are always well-received by APICS conference attendees because they can see first-hand how other companies are doing business. In addition to the seven manufacturers opening their doors, the USS Midway, berthed at the Navy Pier, enables visitors to experience a touch of history," said Karen Alber, CFPIM, 2004 APICS Conference Committee chair.

Callaway Golf Company designs, creates, builds, and sells a variety of golf products. Located in Carlsbad, California, the company, founded by Ely Callaway, designs and manufactures products for the tournament and recreational golfer.

Dimension One Spas of Vista, California, is the industry leader in designing and manufacturing luxury home hydrotherapy and aquatic fitness products. For more than 20 years, this family-owned business has produced technically advanced hot tubs, focusing on customers' needs.

Also located in Vista, dj Orthopedics is the global orthopedic sports medicine company specializing in the design, manufacture, and marketing of surgical and nonsurgical products and services that repair, regenerate, and rehabilitate soft tissue and bone.

Elgar Electronics Corporation, headquartered in San Diego, strives for product excellence in the semiconductor, telecommunications, and measurement and control markets, achieving a reputation for quality and reliability.
