APICS Announces Corporate Awards of Excellence Program
Submission Deadline as June 30, 2004
Alexandria, VA (April 8, 2004) APICS—The Educational Society for Resource Management announces the call for entries for its annual Corporate Awards of Excellence. Submission deadline is June 30, 2004. The awards, presented in three categories, recognize companies for their significant contributions to and performance excellence in industry. Recipients will be recognized at the 2004 APICS International Conference and Exposition, October 10-13, in San Diego, California.
The categories are
Education Award of Excellence, which focuses on a commitment to education investment and productivity improvements based on the application of educational concepts
Innovation Award of Excellence, which recognizes a new technique or product that has significantly advanced the supply chain and inventory management industries
Technology Partnership Award of Excellence, which spotlights a partnership between a technical provider and a corporate customer in which the product has increased the company's success.
"Recipients of the APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence demonstrate that their organizations are second to none as solutions providers, using the APICS body of knowledge to compete in the global marketplace. Innovation and education are key, and APICS recognizes the companies' achievements responsible for their business successes," said Jeffry W. Raynes, APICS executive director and chief operating officer.

Innovation: Systems Plus, Inc., Whitsett, North Carolina
Technology Partnership: MG Industries, Malvern, Pennsylvania, with SAP America of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, and ILOG, Inc., of Mountain View, California
