APICS Announces 2004 Board of Directors

Alexandria, VA (January 2, 2004) Arnold E. Kennedy, CFPIM, CIRM, Jonah, of Temecula, California, partner and vice president of Visionary Oasis, a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and executive management consulting, was elected 2004 president of the board of directors of APICS-The Educational Society for Resource Management. Kennedy and the 21-member board took office on January 1.

Kennedy has held numerous positions at the APICS chapter and region levels and on the APICS Board of Directors over the last 18 years. He served as APICS president-elect, vice president of education for APICS' specific industry/interest groups, vice president of membership and chapter development, and region vice president. Kennedy was involved in manufacturing and materials management positions in industry for more than 25 years.

"The APICS Board of Directors recently approved an aggressive strategic plan that will position APICS as the leading certification and solutions provider to the inventory and supply chain management field. The integrated strategy focuses on APICS' core competency and the development and delivery of market-driven products and services that will benefit the entire APICS community by connecting communities of practice with solutions of value," said Kennedy.
