FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

APICS Conference Attendees Recognize
Industry's Top Solution Providers

Alexandria, VA (November 7, 2002) Three exhibitors at the 2002 APICS International Conference and Exposition were recognized for their contributions and performance excellence in the resource management industry. APICS-The Educational Society for Resource Management hosted 3,000 attendees and 115 exhibitors and sponsors during its October 27-30 conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to 2002 APICS President, L. Drew Rosen, Ph.D., Jonah, "The APICS Poster Presentation Pavilion provided our conference attendees with the opportunity to recognize the exhibitors for their significant contributions to the resource management industry. We were thrilled to receive such a strong caliber of entries."

Exhibitors submitted case studies and documented their successes on poster board displays featured in a special APICS Poster Presentation Pavilion within the exhibit hall. APICS conference attendees judged the poster boards and cast their vote for the best entry in three categories: Solutions Provider, Industry Advancement, and Best of Show.

Ramco Systems Corporation of Lisle, Illinois, a leading provider of ERP solutions for process and discrete manufacturers, was the winner in the Solutions Provider category, acknowledging a partnership between a solutions provider and corporate customer.

The Industry Advancement winner, Frontstep, Inc., of Columbus, Ohio, was honored for the development of a new product, SyteLine 7. Frontstep provides ERP, CRM, and supply chain solutions that can quickly be deployed to integrate and manage order processing and fulfillment enterprisewide.

BigMachines, Inc., with U.S. headquarters in Foster City, California, was named Best of Show, identifying the best product on the exhibit floor. BigMachines provides e-business software and services to streamline sales and customer service processes for manufacturers of engineered products.

The APICS exposition showcases the leaders in software, systems, services, and information technology for e-commerce and c-commerce solutions, supply chain management, MRP/ERP, electronic data collection, planning and scheduling, training, CRM, systems integration, human resources, and business consulting. The 2003 APICS International Conference and Exposition, Transform Challenges into Opportunities, will be held October 6-9, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
