The 50,000 members and 250,000 customers working in 20,000 companies worldwide look to APICS for knowledge solutions and internationally recognized professional certifications. This association has a tradition of passionate, involved volunteers and the 21 member Board of Directors is comprised of those dedicated volunteers that drive the strategic direction of APICS. Two hundred seventy independently incorporated chapters throughout North America, divided into 14 Regions, and 37 International Affiliates around the world offer convenient and personalized access to education, resources and networking.
At the core of the APICS mission enabling members, enterprises and individuals to add value to their business performance, is the APICS Body of Knowledge, consisting of comprehensive education, certification, research and standards in the field of operations management. These are delivered to the world community through thousands of publications, educational programs, courses, seminars, webinars, etc. Additionally, APICS Chapters throughout North America, as well as affiliated organizations in South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, represent APICS in the sale and delivery of educational courseware. Recently, APICS has launched Communities of Practice that are structured online communications forums enabling members to share best practices and experiences virtually, while contributing to the Body of Knowledge. In response to dynamic market needs, APICS has also recently developed the Certified Supply Chain Professional Certification, preparing individuals to navigate today’s complex supply chains, while meeting customer needs and reducing costs. It joins other certifications offered by APICS: Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM). CPIM is a global standard in the field of operations management.
In recent years, APICS, through its strategic planning process, has developed integrated, strategic, multi-year priorities calling for a greater variety of products and services to a more diverse market, while committing the organization to continuous improvement of existing products and services.
APICS is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that values the impact that diversity has upon its products, services and work environment.
