Education Award of Excellence

Innovation in Global Ability Award of Excellence

Technology Partnership Award of Excellence

Award submissions are due on or before July 15, 2009. APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence winners will be notified on or before August 31, 2009.

The APICS Corporate Awards of Excellence recognize organizations for significant contributions and performance excellence in operations management. There are three categories, including education, innovation in global ability, and technology partnership.

The Education Award of Excellence focuses on an organization's commitment to education investment and productivity based on the application of educational concepts.
Entry submissions must include answers to the following questions. Please respond in the order they are presented.

  1. Describe how your company benefits from or uses APICS educational activities (sponsors in-house seminars, financially supports employee attendance at certification courses and other seminars, pays chapter dues, offers time off to study or take APICS certification exams, and so forth).
  2. Describe your company's philosophy and polices regarding APICS certification for its employees.
  3. Describe the limitations and challenges the company faced in the integration of the APICS body of knowledge into the daily business operation.
  4. Explain how APICS education increased success for the company (qualitative and quantitative measures).

The Innovation in Global Ability Award of Excellence recognizes an organization's achievement in keeping the global marketplace, workforce, environment, and economy in mind, whether the organization operates in more than one country or not.
Entry submissions must include answers to the following questions. Please respond in the order they are presented.

  1. Explain the goals and objectives that were set.
  2. Provide a summary of the innovation's strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities.
  3. Describe the completed implementation of the solution.
  4. Provide measurements and evaluation successes (qualitative and quantitative).

The Technology Partnership Award of Excellence spotlights the types of success that can be reached when a technical provider and a corporate client work together.
Entry submissions must include answers to the following questions. Please respond in the order they are presented.

  1. Describe the provider and customer relationship.
  2. Describe the goals and objectives set for the partnership.
  3. Describe the threats and opportunities that were explored in the development of the product or service solution.
  4. Provide a narrative on the completed implementation process of the product or solution. What obstacles did the company overcome?
  5. Describe the measures and evaluation processes used (qualitative and quantitative).
  6. Explain the company's satisfaction from the successful use of the product.
